Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We appreciate your involvement in our Mars mission! Mars One receives hundreds of emails emails from people all over the world who offer ideas, suggestions or technology to advance the Mars One project. We are grateful and humbled by all these emails. We read them all, but unfortunately cannot answer them all personally.

We keep a close eye on all suggestions and ideas that we read in emails and the social media. Based on our own thoughts and external suggestions from our community and advisers, we constantly improve our work tactics. For example, to deploy new ways to involve our fans, investigate the possibilities of crowd-funding or generate more (media) attention.

As for the technology, it is Mars One's policy that we plan our mission solely around the use of existing technologies that have been thoroughly tested. We do not develop, test or improve these technologies ourselves, but trust in the advice and expertise of the Mars One advisers and experienced aerospace suppliers who will develop the needed components and technology for our mission.
